20x4 Blue Backlit LCD HD44780 Perfect for Arduino, AVR, PIC etc

This great looking LCD module sports a blue background with white characters. It's perfect for those projects where you need a deadly clear LCD which doesn't draw attention. The smooth blue adds a stylish touch to a project with a premium price tag. The LCD module uses a HD44780 controller which means it's compatible with lots of pre-existing MCU libraries including the Arduino Liquid Crystal and "4bit". How do I get started?

Using our LCD module is extremely easy. If you are coming from an Arduino Environment you can load any of the built in "LiquidCrystal" sketches. The back of the LCD (as shown in the picture) provides a label for each pin. Check out the Arduino.cc guide to setup your LCD

Please note: We have intentionally not soldered on the pin-header so you can fit which ever you prefer. If you would like us to solder on a male pin header, please let us know before you purchase your item. You also may need a 3-5k resistor tied to ground (which is dependent on your ambient temperature), we are happy to provide you with a a resistor if you would like.

Download the custom Arduino Sketch, just place that in your hardware/libraries/LiquidCrystal/Examples folder. Don't forget to modify the rows and columns ;). If you'd also like LCD Smartie, you can download that here.
